Top US brands fall for lovely Laura

DUBLIN model Laura Scanlon is on the verge of superstardom after landing jobs for three top brands in the US.

The Templeogue native won out over dozens of hopefuls to bag herself photoshoots and fashion shows for Tiffany & Co, Bloomingdales and fashion house Banana Republic over the coming weeks.

Laura (24) recently spoke to the Herald about taking to the runway for Chanel and last night revealed that she was picked by a top agent in her new home of Dubai for her latest luxury label assignments.

"They're all big names and I honestly didn't think it would all happen, but it's amazing," the former Miss Wexford said. "There are so many opportunities out here and you get a chance to do everything. There are loads of Russian models here, but I'm the only Irish girl and that really helps to build my profile with clients."

With her career soaring overseas since moving to the United Emirates with boyfriend Dave Murphy in January, Laura will enjoy her first job on live TV abroad while she models products for hair care company Babyliss tomorrow.

And the AR beauty is also in with a chance of making it into the final three for the Arabic version of Project Runway.

"I was chosen because they thought I had a very strong walk. We filmed an episode for a test last week.

"It was a great experience --I was dressed up in a burka, which was a first for me." she said.
