Calling all foodies – the Guerrilla Gourmet Club is back.

This time they are hosting a one-night-only pop-up autumn harvest dinner at the Royal College of Surgeons on Friday.

The Guerrilla Gourmet brings artisan cheese, wine-makers, bakers and chefs from around the country for an evening of top notch food in a unique setting.

Swoon! Boy band sensation The Wanted will be heading to southside shopping Mecca HMV Dundrum next Tuesday.

The dreamy boy band will chat to fans, sign autographs and fans' body parts while promoting their new album Word of Mouth.

"It's taken us two years to make this album. We think it's our strongest album to date," the band's Tom Parker said. The band will also perform at the O2 in Dublin on March 24 2014, as part of their Word of Mouth world tour.

Well known Thespian and former Glenroe star Alan Stanford is busy at work with his latest theatrical production.

Alan is directing The Gate Theatre's upcoming Christmas show Pride and Prejudice starring Fair City actress Aoibhin Garrihy.

Blonde bombshell Aoibhin says she's delighted to be back at The Gate.

"There is something so lovely about being in The Gate as Christmas," she said. "It has a real homey sort of feel. And of course I love Pride and Prejudice – it's a classic."

Glitz and glam on a November Thursday evening is not always a guarantee.
