Today FM presenter Louise Duffy has revealed that taxi drivers were her best friends when she was presenting the Early Breakfast Show.
The Mayo native was at the helm of the show for seven years and admitted the unsociable hours got to her.
"I was a lonely little bird. You're not on a team - there's a solitary existence that goes with going to work in the middle of the night," she said.

"Taxi men were my best friends. It was a very solitary existence - I felt lonely on every level.
"I lived with two of my best pals and I remember just after Coronation Street I would hear them up laughing as I was getting into bed, but you have to be disciplined."
Louise has since left the 4am starts behind her and has been covering for Tony Fenton on his afternoon slot since last August.
Tony is expected to return to Today FM in the coming weeks and Louise will return to her evening show at 7pm.
The 30-year-old is engaged to Kerry football star Paul Galvin and says she can't wait to get married.
"I'm dying to be married. It's a lovely commitment to know you are with your best pal for the rest of your life," she said.
Louise knew Paul was "very special" after just a few dates.
"After the first few times of meeting you kind of know. I remember being really impressed by him," she said.
"Paul is a family man and that would be extremely important to me because at the end of the day, aren't families the most important thing?"
