Stars come out for first night of Anglo musical

A HOST of well-known names turned out for the first night of Anglo The Musical last night.

Paul Howard's musical -- at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre -- attracted some well-known names including actor Gabriel Byrne, RTE broadcaster Joe Duffy and U2 manager Paul McGuinness.

The musical, created by the Ross O'Carroll Kelly writer, depicts the controversial goings-on of the infamous bank and features real life characters in Bertie Ahern, Brian Cowen, Enda Kenny, Angela Merkel and David McWilliams

Other guests there to show their support were co- founders of Riverdance, television director John McColgan and his producer wife Moya Doherty; top model Roz Purcell, novelist Amanda Brunker.
