SHE may be rocking the pink look at the moment, but Sinead Kennedy has insisted she won't be that colourful on her wedding day.
The RTE broadcaster is set to walk down the aisle with her naval officer fiance Conor Kirwin this autumn.
And even though she stepped out over the weekend with her hair dyed rose pink, Sinead told the Herald she will be back to her usual bleached style in time for her wedding.
"It's definitely not going to look like this, I'll be back to normal for Winning Streak at the end of the month," the Cork native said.
Sinead, who co-hosts Winning Streak with veteran Marty Whelan, enjoyed her hen night on Saturday.
The 30-year-old was joined by presenter pals Emma O'Driscoll and Blathnaid Treacy for a sailor-themed party.
Sinead and Conor first met in 2005 while she was in Cork doing a live link from the European Capital of Culture.
She revealed her engagement to her boyfriend of eight years last Christmas, but said that he proposed months before she announced the news.
The pair, who will tie the knot in Dromquinna Manor, Co Kerry, planned their reception around the band that will play.
A self-confessed tomboy, Sinead opted for a blue tanzanite gemstone instead of a diamond engagement ring.
"I wouldn't be into diamonds, I've no interest and I like a bit of colour," she said.
"I saw a stone like it on holidays years ago and thought it was sapphire, but when I went into the store I discovered it was tanzanite, so I just said then whenever I was getting married I'd get this kind of ring."
The anchor also admitted that she was surprised by how easy she found the perfect bridal gown.
"I went shopping with my mum, my sister and another of my bridesmaids and tried on a little bit of everything, but the second dress I tried on was the one," she said.
"I'm comfortable in it and that's what was really important to me."
