Pippa O'Connor: I cringe when I thinks of my old style
Pippa O'Connor is known for her style but she admits she cringes when she looks back at old pictures of her at photocalls.
She says everything about her look was just "too much" and prefers her laid-back style now.
"I've had loads of fashion faux pas - all you have to do is look at photocall pictures of me from 10 years ago, because they're all dreadful," Pippa (left) told the Diary.
"A lot of the outfits were my choice, but it was too much of everything. There was too much tan, too much fake hair, too much of everything.
"Tight bandeau dresses, too. It was all too much. Less is definitely more, for me anyway," she added.
Cooking up ideas
A number of well-known faces from TV and radio turned up to the launch of the Cookbook Cafe in Dun Laoghaire.
Top chef Audrey McDonald has created a unique restaurant where the specials will come from a different cookbook each month.
Her husband Tom Dunne was on hand to help her celebrate as were his Newstalk colleagues Ivan Yates and Pat Kenny and Today FM's Ian Dempsey.
"Opening this restaurant has always been my dream," Audrey said. "I want to put food on a plate to excite the palate and appeal both to foodies and non-foodies."
Late bar at Soder + Ko
Model Holly Carpenter, pundit Eamon Dunphy, Brendan Courtney, Robert Henshaw and recently-married Donal Skehan are all fans of Asian fusion hot spot Soder + Ko and now the restaurant is opening a new late night bar.
Open late until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays the new social hub will feature the very best DJs and entry is free.
Michelle's double joy
Michelle Heaton had a double celebration yesterday as it was both her fifth wedding anniversary and her 36th birthday.
She married Irish businessman Hugh Hanley in the Bahamas in 2010.
They have two children together, Faith (3) and one-year-old Aaron Jay.
