IT has been taking America by storm, and now Nicky Byrne has taken on the charity ice-bucket challenge.
A string a A-list names, including Jennifer Lopez, Bill Gates and Justin Bieber, have been soaking themselves from head-to-toe in frosty water to help raise awareness for Motor Neurone Disease Stateside and with the craze reaching Irish shores, dad-of-three Nicky happily got on board.
The Westlife star completed his challenge over the weekend and has now nominated his 2fm radio co-anchor Jenny Greene, The X Factor host Dermot O'Leary, Take Me Out's Paddy McGuinness and retired England cricketer Michael Vaughan.
Although he got to enjoy a stint in Portugal with his other half Georgina and their family in July, Nicky's been back in the RTE radio studio with DJ veteran Jenny.
And despite hanging up his microphone with Westlife, he'll be on stage again shortly as he's gearing up to take part in Ant & Dec's hit Takeaway tour.
It will arrive in Dublin's O2 Arena on September 13 and Nicky's former band mate Kian Egan has also signed up to get involved.
