Nadia's music career takes centre stage at festival gig

SHE'S been in the headlines more for her rumoured relationship with Rory McIlroy than her music lately, but Nadia Forde got back to business over the weekend.

The model-turned-singer took to the main stage at the Brighton Pride festival on Saturday to entertain ticket-holders with her upbeat pop songs.

It was the Dubliner's debut live performance in the UK, and wearing her hair down, brunette Nadia delivered a high-octane rendition of her single BPM while being lifted into the air by a group of shirtless dancers.

X Factor winner Sam Bailey was another act to take part in the event.

Also enjoying Pride over the past couple of days were DJ Vogue Williams and her husband, ex-Westlifer Brian McFadden.

After singing at the festival, 24-year-old Nadia spent her time mingling in the Preston Park venue with friends.

Her appearance came weeks after she was involved in a car accident.

The ex-girlfriend of Ireland and Leinster rugby player Luke Fitzgerald was left in shock and said she was lucky to be alive after her car flipped on a motorway in London last month.

As she carves out a career for herself as a musician, Nadia's personal life has been in the spotlight.

It was alleged that she and golfer Rory were an item after meeting through mutual pal Katie Larmour - who's engaged to Rory's best friend, fellow golfer and publican Harry Diamond - earlier this year in trendy Dublin bar and restaurant 37 Dawson Street.

However, half-Italian Nadia has maintained that she and Rory are just friends.
