Taylor Swift has sold out her two upcoming dates at the 3Arena within 55 minutes.

The first date, July 29, went on sale at 9am and demand was so high that a second date, July 30, was added just six minutes later.

Aiken Promotions confirmed that both shows had sold out due to massive demand amongst the singer's fans, the Swifties.

Taylor's 1989 World Tour Dublin dates will be the first time Swift has performed on our island since her sell-out 2011 'Speak Now' tour.

The '1989 World Tour' will kick off on May 5, 2015, in Tokyo, spanning four continents including North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.

The seven-time Grammy winner's fifth studio album, '1989', is the highest-selling release in the US since 2002 and went straight to number one in the Irish iTunes chart

Music bible 'Rolling Stone' has compared the album '1989' to Bob Dylan's early work - "except with more songs about Harry Styles".
