The sun was splitting the rocks in Dublin yesterday but it wasn't enough to lure pop star Taylor Swift from her luxurious hotel suite.
The Shake it Off hit-maker arrived into Dublin on a private jet on Monday afternoon ahead of two sold-out shows at the 3Arena.
She was accompanied by her boyfriend, Calvin Harris, and the couple decided to spend some quality time together at the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge.
Queues of photographers waited outside the five-star hotel but the 25-year-old didn't emerge until it was time to head to the second Irish date of her 1989 tour.
"Taylor has had a mad few days and decided to take the day to relax as she finishes up the European leg of her tour," a source said.
"If she'd been here with her friends or just her mum, she probably would have gone to see a few sights, but they wanted to spend some time alone and not be snapped by the paparazzi."
Calvin was in the crowd at Monday's concert and was expected to attend last night's show as well.
The Irish branch of her record company, Universal, presented her with a plaque of the sales of her 1989 album here. She thanked her Irish fans on stage for their support.
Taylor's mum, Andrea, told Spin 1038 that while Dublin's 3Arena is the smallest venue her daughter would play this year, with a capacity of 13,000, Taylor wanted her Irish fans to have the same experience as the rest of the world.
