Kasabian made up for their Brits snub by picking up three gongs at the NME Awards.
The rockers, who did not get a single Brits nomination, were hailed as the best British band at the event at Brixton Academy in London last night.
They also carried off best album for 48:13 and won the best quote award for guitarist Serge Pizzorno's reaction to headlining Glastonbury when he said: "Five records, 10 years. We've earned our shot."
Singer-songwriter Jamie T also picked up a hat-trick of gongs, winning best track and best video for Zombie and music moment of the year for his comeback gigs which saw him return after almost four years of silence.
Other winners included Royal Blood, who were named best new band and best live band and performed their track Figure It Out on the night.
"It's been an astounding year of comebacks and triumphs for Kasabian and Jamie T and their awards tonight prove it," NME editor Mike Williams said.
