Girls keep jumping on me, it's crazy, says Wanted star Siva

THE WANTED'S Dublin star Siva Kaneswaren has described the band's lifestyle as "crazy".

Siva (22), who is the brother of top model Gail Kaneswaren and singer Hazel, says the band regularly get "jumped" on by female fans while he's out an about.

However the band, who supported superstar Britney Spears at her concert in Manchester over last weekend, take it easy while on tour.

"Our lifestyle is crazy. One minute I'm walking down the street and suddenly I'm being jumped on by loads of girls," Siva explained.

"It does get really crazy at times but we all work really hard and what we want to do is create good music. We love seeing people get such a good buzz from the music.

"We had the whole rock 'n' roll lifestyle at the beginning, but I know as we get older we will grow out of it... but I'm not going to say that I'm finished partying, I still have a few years left.

Drunk

"The only thing that you are going to see us do is falling out of a club drunk, just like every other lad our age," he told the Herald.

And even though Siva (22) gets inundated with messages from girls, the Dublin singer says his girlfriend of four years, Nareesha McCaffery isn't fazed by the attention he gets.

"I'm with a girl now for four years that I met at Belfast Fashion Week years ago. We were together before the whole Wanted thing. She doesn't really mind the female fans because they are all 15 or 16-year-olds, so she doesn't worry about it.

"The only thing that we both get annoyed about is that we just really miss each other. That's the only hard part about being in a pop band," he explained.

Siva made the comments while appearing as a special guest at the Kellogg's Fun Raise 4 Kids event yesterday at Crumlin's Our Lady's Hospital.
