LEGENDARY country singer Dolly Parton will be wowing Dubliner's tonight when she plays the O2.

It's been four years since she last played in Ireland and this time round she will be taking her newest album to the Irish stage.

The gig will be part of her world tour, which will coincide with her upcoming release, Better Day, an album of new material.

•A host of Dublin's top models are expected at the Grafton Lounge on Saturday for a special night hosted by Miss Ireland, Holly Carpenter.

She will be hosting the Winners Party, which will see all of this year's Miss Ireland and Miss University contestants celebrating Holly's win last month.

A star-studded guest list is expected, with former Miss World Rosanna Davison set to attend, along with top model Sara Kavanagh and former Miss Ireland Sarah Morrissey.

•DUBAI'S McGettigan's pub, at the Jumeirah Lake Towers, will celebrate Arthur's Day in full Irish style next weekend.

Two of Ireland's top comedians, PJ Gallagher and Eric Lalor, will take to the stage, with hundreds of Irish punters expected on the night.

Naked Camera star PJ Gallagher and Eric are regulars at McGettigan's -- they took part in Dubai's first Irish Comedy Festival at the venue earlier this year.

PJ, who recently revealed he has had to postpone his wedding due to surgery needed on his leg after a bike crash, said Dubai has become his second home in the last year. "Dubai is my new home away from home. It's just like how I imagine Dublin will look in 2045," he joked.

•THE revamped Baggot Inn is celebrating its fourth birthday this week.

Tomorrow will mark the opening of the Baggot Birthday Weekend, which will see top Irish musicians perform plus some surprises for their guests.

The event will close with an All-Ireland Final After Party and another surprise performer that will lead the celebrations into the night. Past performers at the top venue have included U2, Christy Moore, Thin Lizzy and Bob Geldolf.
