She ditched law to be a model and now she's split with her fiance to pursue a Hollywood career.
Model-turned-actress Cristíona Aston split from her other half of five years David Morrisroe and shortly after jetted to LA to pursue her acting dream.
David popped the question in February and the couple had planned to tie the knot in Killruddery House where her sister Fionnuala lives with her husband, Lord Anthony Ardee.
While Cristíona's wedding plans have gone by the wayside, she's home for a few weeks to attend her brother's wedding at the stunning estate outside Bray.
Cristíona is on the books at Andrea Roche's agency and spent a few weeks in Tinseltown "being courted by producers, managers, and agents" who, she says, have been "captivated" by her "vivacious natural talent and charisma". She told the Diary she's "single and ready to mingle" after her break up and revealed some well known faces were interested in her.
She said she has had a few 'suitors' including an NBA player, an actor, a TV producer and an animator.
"I hang out at LA hot spots such as Chateau Marmont, Sky Bar, Hyde, Nice Guy, and the Sunset Tower."
The brunette says her trip to sunny California was more of a "fact-finding mission" as she's debating a permanent move there.
"There's endless opportunities to hike, workout and rediscover my passion for water sports," she said.
While there, Cristíona landed a few modelling shoots and an appearance with a racy comedy troupe.
"I met these guys in an up-and-coming comedy group named The Knights of Comedy and they quickly cast me as their Babe Of Thrones in one of their sketches," she said.
She also recently landed a part in upcoming sci-fi movie Stargirl.
The film tells the story of a girl with a star-shaped head who falls to earth during a dramatic meteor shower and befriends a loveable Hertfordshire farmer called Stan.
"It's a very simple story," Cristíona said. "It's almost childlike but it's also happy and emotional."
The chic actress is auditioning for several high-profile film roles in London.
