Martin McDonagh s black

www Martin McDonagh's black comedy 'A Skull in Connemara' has been decried as 'deliciously grim' and 'wickedly funny'.

The Olivier award-winning play, which will hit the Gaiety stage from January 27 – February 2, is all about nosy neighbours, graveyards and angst-ridden teenagers.

It may sound like a pretty deadly combination but the show is a knockout and with an excellent cast including Garret Keogh and Maria McDermott Roe.

www Screen siren Scarlett Johansson is well used to creating a stir. But now she's all about the fizz and hiss of carbonated drinks.

The Tony winner is the new face of that all-Americana invention, the SodaStream.

The first advertisement featuring Scarlett (left) will premiere on February 2 – mark it down in the diary.

www Blaithnaid Hennessy's Kilkenny store Shutterbug Vintage is a go-to for ladies looking for fantastic vintage finds – Aoife Cogan, Amy Huberman and Ingrid Hoey are all big fans.

So guests at Angela Scanlon's Smashbox dinner in Fade Street Social were delighted when super chic interior designer and shop owner Blaithnaid presented them bling-tastic necklaces.

Each diamante emblazoned statement piece was picked to reflect the taste of the diner.

www The Dude abides. Calling all 'Big Lebowski' fans, this Friday, January 17, Dublin's Lighthouse cinema will host a BIG Lebowski fancy dress party at 8pm before holding a late screening of the cult classic at 10.30pm.

Organisers are encouraging fans of the film to dress up as their favourite character and kick back with a White Russian.
