Reality TV starlet Nicola Hughes said she feels under constant pressure to look picture perfect while filming the Channel 4 show Made in Chelsea.
Every move of the model's glamorous London life with boyfriend and cast member Alex Mytton is filmed for the series and looking good on screen comes with the territory.
"I'm definitely so conscious of how I look on screen," she told the Diary.
"I've always been conscious of how I look, though, because I'm a model and as a girl you're always going to be aware of your appearance.
"But in London it's hard to keep your weight down because there's a lot of eating out and a lot of drinking.
"I try to be as healthy as I can, but I basically live off sweets, which is really bad. I know it's not a good way to live and Alex always gives out to me for being so unhealthy because he goes to the gym a lot."
While she's up against some very wealthy girls in the fashion stakes, Nicola said she doesn't splash out on designer threads.
"I never invest in very expensive things, I just spend constantly on little things," she said.
"I'm a bit of a shopaholic and I adore my bags - I end up spending and not being able to afford them.
"I'm not necessarily in competition with the other girls, but everyone sees you and you obviously want to look your best."
Nicola and Alex, who recently celebrated their first anniversary in Disneyland, live together in his luxurious apartment on the Fulham Road, in South Kensington.
However, blonde bombshell Nicola insisted she doesn't depend on him to buy her things.
"Alex is very good to me, but I do like my own independence. I don't want him to be my second dad," she said.
Nicola (25) lived with her parents in Sandyford before moving in with Alex and admitted it was tough moving out of home for the first time, especially as he has some very annoying habits.
"He's not good at cleaning up after himself and his clothes are everywhere constantly, which drives me mental," she said.
"He bites his nails a lot too and I hate that.
"It was a massive step moving to London, but I don't think I could ever move back in with my parents now and have them nagging me all the time.
"I'm the one who's nagging now, though, and I give out about everything, which Alex is probably not used to."
