THEY are the new 'Posh and Becks' of LA, but Claudine and Robbie Keane are already planning their lives back home in Ireland.

The couple have snapped up a mansion in a Dublin estate that is already a favourite among wealthy celebrities.

Despite signing a contract to extend his stay at LA Galaxy, Tallaght native Robbie and his family are now the proud owners of a bargain, six-bedroom property in Malahide.

The Irish soccer captain and his model wife (left) signed on the dotted line last month for the €1.6m French chateau-style home in the plush Abington Estate.

The upmarket property, which boasts an indoor swimming pool, was originally on the market for €6m, but was sold to the couple on April 12 for €1,657,166.60.

SEASIDE

Malahide native Claudine has had her eye on the impressive pad since 2009, when her 32-year-old husband was still plying his trade in the UK, but the stately home was then on the market for a pricey €5m.

Since the jet-setting couple relocated to LA in 2011, the price on the home has fallen by €3m and the Keanes decided to make their move after stopping by to view the house on several occasions.

Ownership of the €12,500sq ft property, set in 1.2 acres of land where son Robbie Junior can play, guarantees the couple a host of celeb neighbours, including Westlife singer Nicky Byrne and his pregnant wife Georgina.

The seaside estate is also home to Yvonne Keating, the estranged wife of Boyzone star Ronan, and Dublin Wives cast member Roz Flanagan, whose house featured on the reality show.

"The house that they want has to be Claudine and Robbie's dream house. That's why they didn't rush into it," said a friend of the couple.
