Jack's king of the swingers with Jungle Book role

He'S already proven that he can play the action hero in Transformers, and now Jack Reynor is looking to animation.

In a continuing effort to take on diverse roles, the Wicklow native has just signed on to lend his voice to Jungle Book: Origins, being brought to the silver screen by Andy Serkis.

The latest adaptation of the 1894 Rudyard Kipling classic is set to 
present a mix of motion capture, computer animation and live-action to tell the story of Mowgli (Rohan Chand), an orphaned boy who was raised by wolves in the Indian jungle and befriends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the black panther.

Jack, who is engaged to Madeline Mulqueen, will play Brother Wolf in the Warner Bros production and he is joining a cast that includes Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of Shere Khan, Christian Bale as the voice of Bagheera, Cate Blanchett (pictured) as Kaa and Eddie Marsan as Vihaan.

The film is being produced by Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves and it is scheduled to hits cinemas on October 21, 2016.

IFTA-winning Jack has been careful to take on a wide range of projects since breaking into the industry with Lenny Abrahamson's acclaimed 2012 film What Richard Did.

With publicity commitments for Transformers: Age of Extinction done, Jack (22) will next appear in Gerard Barrett's human trafficking drama Glassland, 
opposite Toni 
Colette.

He has also finished filming director Justin Kurzel's adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth with Marion Cotillard and Michael Fassbender.
