IT'S NOT quite the infamous roll in the hay from Glenroe, but Fair City is staging a rural affair.
The Dublin-based soap has gone on tour to the country for the sizzling affair between Jo and Tommy.
And what better scene for an extra-marital affair than the National Ploughing Championships?
In fairness, the rural setting makes a change from a cheap hotel in Carrigstown.
The cast and crew of the Dublin soap set up camp at the popular farming event to film the scenes, which will be screened tonight.
Members of the public got to join in on the action as they posed as extras, while actors Rachel Sarah Murphy (Jo), Geoff Minogue (Tommy) and Hilary Reynolds (Shelly) shot their various scenes throughout the afternoon.
Fans of the RTE series can look forward to seeing secret couple Jo and Tommy, who are married to Dermot and Judith respectively, travel down to the ploughing extravaganza in Athy to enjoy a romantic day out.
But trouble soon sets in, as the loved-up pair are spotted by a familiar face -- the infamous Shelley, who nearly destroyed Harry and Dolores' marriage and also had an affair with Tommy.
When Jo learns that Shelley slips Tommy her card, viewers will see a dramatic break-up unfold as Jo confronts her man and demands to go back home to the capital.
