SHE was seen cracking an uncharacteristic toothy smile over the weekend – and the picture got everyone talking.

And her husband David Beckham can see the funny side. Poking fun at Victoria's image, the recently retired footballer posted an image on to his Facebook account of his wife giggling with the caption: 'See, I told you she smiles'.

The informal snap went viral.

A few hours before David's photograph, his wife posted a picture of them posing together in their hotel room with the caption 'Downtime Beijing style'.

The former Spice Girl is known for rarely smiling – although she is often snapped with a coy grin.

The mum-of-four is said to hate her teeth, with many speculating this could be the reason she is rarely snapped smiling.

Away from the cameras, Victoria (38) goes to great pains to tell people that she is a "fun" person when away from the cameras and can't stop laughing.

The couple are currently in China – designer Victoria is hoping to increase her fashion brand over there, while husband David is meeting Chinese footballing executives and fans.
