AFTER a difficult few months and a traumatic labour, broadcaster Maura Derrane is ready to return to Irish television screens.
The RTE presenter is currently in rehearsals for the next season of her afternoon show Today with Daithi O Se.
It will resume on Monday and the host, whose gave birth to her son Cal in May, admitted to feeling "knackered" but excited.
She has hired a helper to look after her little addition four days a week while filming in Cork.
Speaking on the Ray D'Arcy Show on Today FM yesterday, Maura said that even though they've been out of the studio six months, time has flown.
"It seems like we never left, it's year three now," she said. And she said there'll be more entertainment in this year's series.
"Daytime TV needs to be more relaxed and I feel people have a limited amount of time, so if you can give tips for free, people like that - they can take something away from it.
"The guests are very varied and it's not a D4-type show," she said.
