So far over 800 bands have uploaded their music to GuinnessAmplify.com for their chance to play live pub gigs in September and October.

The new event kicks off on September 11 in Leinster and will rotate around Ireland, focusing on a different region each week over the course of the five weekends.

III COMEDIANS will gather this week to toast The Ha'penny Laughs Improv Comedy Troupe's 19th birthday at the Ha'penny Bridge Inn. A string of well known performers will give audiences a laugh on Thursday to help mark the occasion. Danny Kehoe, Sharon Mannion, Justin Wade, Eleanor Tiernan and Neil Delamere are among the well-known faces to take to the stage there over the years.

III MUSIC fans are looking forward to seeing top act UFO perform at The Academy next year to celebrate the release of their 13th studio album. The gig, featuring stars Phil Mogg, Paul Raymond, Andy Parker, and Vinnie Moore, takes place on April 21, 2015, and includes a number of their classic 1970s hits like Doctor Doctor, Shoot, Shoot and Rock Bottom.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale this Thursday at 10am. Tickets are priced at €26 including booking fee and can be bought from all usual Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and www.ticketmaster.ie.

III LEGENDARY Irish group Horslips have been confirmed for Sligo Live 2014. They will play on October 25 in the Knocknarea Arena at the event, toasting Ireland's folk roots. Tickets are on sale now from www.sligolive.ie.
