Icon Gerry's girl Bonnie to play solo gig

Drum roll, please! Tonight Bonnie Ryan (inset), daughter of late broadcaster Gerry, will take to the stage at trendy hipster club The Grand Social for one of her first solo gigs.

The pop starlet will play a live set and hopes to have the crowd bopping along to the music.

Bonnie is no stranger to the stage – when she was 14, her band, Lady Nada, supported Westlife at the then Point Theatre, so this gig should be small potatoes.

Bonnie (20) has spent the past few months hitting the books in college – studying music in Ballyfermot.

When she wasn't cramming for exams, she's been laying down tracks in the recording studio and seems to be developing a distinct pop sound.

All the Ryans seem destined to follow their dad into the limelight.

Elder brother Rex locked lips with Rozanna Purcell in This Club's music video UP, wrote his own stage play and is gearing up for his end-of-year showcase with the Gaiety School of Acting.

And Lottie has a regular showbiz slot with Colm Hayes on 2fm.
