RETIRED rugby player Peter O'Riordan is ready to bring some testosterone to the Xpose line-up.
The 30-year-old is the latest addition to the TV3 team and after moving back to Ireland from America this month is hoping to get reacquainted with old sporting pals.
Cork native Peter previously played with Munster and Ireland's underage squads.
A new dad to five-month-old son Olivier with his partner, retired model Stephanie Evans, the TV host told the Herald he's hoping to meet other young parents like old pal Brian O'Driscoll, now he's back on Irish shores.
"I'd know all of those lads from my playing days but I haven't been home in years," he said.
"I'm trying to partner up with people who have kids and it would take the stress off me a little bit."
After waving goodbye to a career on the rugby pitch, Peter packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles.
He has returned after seven years in the business there and left his coveted job on the assignment desk at international entertainment website TMZ to join Xpose. He insisted he's thrilled to be part of the Ballymount crew.
"TV3 approached me about six weeks ago, so it was all very fast," he said.
"We literally packed everything up and moved; it was a mad scramble so I'm kind of running on adrenaline and jet lag at themoment.
"I knew of a couple of the girls from way back when I played rugby, it's a fantastic team and a great network in there so I'm excited.
"I'm ecstatic to be home and hopefully I can propel this brand in the same direction that [TMZ] is going," he added.
Peter has yet to sit down and finalise contract details with bosses at the commercial station.
"I've no clue about any of that yet, that'll all get sorted in due time."
