Yvonne's frock shopping as partner tipped for a BAFTA

HE'S been nominated for a prestigious industry award and Yvonne Keating couldn't be happier for her camera man boyfriend John Conroy.

The category shortlists for the 2014 BAFTA Craft Awards, which takes place on April 27 in the UK, were announced yesterday and mother-of-three Yvonne told the Herald of her delight to hear that her other half has been given the nod for his work on BBC crime drama Luther, starring Idris Elba.

John is up for the photography and lighting gong in the entertainment production section. He will battle it out with George Steel, who captured Peaky Blinders on camera, for the top prize.

"He is the most talented man I know, he feels privileged to be recognised for his cinematography by BAFTA," said Yvonne.

The academy honours those who work behind the scenes on some of the biggest productions on UK and Irish screens, with the best in costume design, editing and sound also celebrated.

Ripper Street and Downton Abbey are among the others to receive nominations, but Cork man Cillian Murphy's Peaky Blinders is leading the way.

The BBC Two hit, which is currently shooting its forthcoming installment, will compete in six categories, including nods for Original Music and Production Design.

No doubt Yvonne will accompany her other half to the ceremony next month.

The model started dating John in 2012, several months after she and ex-husband Ronan Keating announced the end of their marriage.

The couple met on the set of Yvonne's teenage daughter Missy's first film, Dark Touch and got to spend more time together in between scenes on the set of The Sea, another project Missy and

John were both working on.
