Why I was left speechless when I met my co-star -- Slaine

IRISH actress Slaine Kelly was rendered speechless when she first met hunky male model Paul Sculfor on the set of their new movie, Psychosis.

The Dublin beauty, who shot to fame playing Lady Jane Howard on The Tudors, is set to get her big-screen break next week when the Reg Traviss-directed blockbuster hits cinema theatres on July 19.

Slaine, who plays an eco-warrior, stars alongside a host of big names including Justin Hawkins from The Darkness, 28 Days Later star Ricci Harnett, Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia in hit series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Jennifer Aniston's ex, Paul Sculfor.

The up and coming star, who will be familiar to many given that she appears on a television advert for Barry's Tea, explained how she was extremely jet-lagged when she met her fellow cast-members as she had just returned from Bangkok in Thailand to film the ad.

"Paul is absolutely beautiful.

"This is his first big acting role and there's no doubt that the cameras love him," she told the Herald.

"He looks like Brad Pitt in the film, he's just gorgeous and women are going to go crazy for him after this.

"He was actually going out with Cameron Diaz at the time when we began filming in February of 2009, but as far as I know he's single now.

"The first day I met him and the other actors in the dressing room I was actually just straight back from Thailand where I filmed the Barry's Tea advert, so I was wrecked and not feeling myself at all.

"I was completely tongue-tied when I sat down beside him to have my make-up done," she added.

Slaine, who turns 28 tomorrow and comes from Donabate, north Co Dublin, insists she had no romantic interest in Paul however, given that she is happily loved up with her own boyfriend, whom she would rather not name.

The actress was due to be whisked off to Rome yesterday for her birthday.

Slaine will return to attend a VIP screening of her new film in London next week. Amy Winehouse, who is currently dating the film's director Reg Traviss, is expected to be there.
