Lindsay Lohan has revealed she plans to make her permanent home in London because it is the ideal place for her to "grow up".
The actress has recently appeared in Speed-the-Plow at the Playhouse Theatre in the West End.
She has since said she plans to remain in the capital rather than return to Los Angeles.
She said: "I can go for a run here on my own. I do every morning, early. I needed to grow up and London is a better place for me to do that."
Lohan (28) grew up in the glare of the spotlight after she found fame aged 11 in The Parent Trap, but in recent years she has been in the headlines more for her troubled private life than her acting after stints in jail and rehab.
She said she has no intention of returning to live in LA, where she has faced intense scrutiny.
"I don't even know who got married and who got pregnant," she said. "You turn on the news in LA and it is all gossip about people."
"I haven't heard myself mentioned on TV since I have been here. That has been really weird and great."
