Patrick Swayze's Dirty Dancing is the top feelgood movie of all time, according to film fans.
The 1987 romantic tale triumphed ahead of screen hits such as School Of Rock, Clueless and Grease in a poll by movie rental firm Lovefilm.
Dirty Dancing -- which has gone on to spawn a hit musical, and famous for lines such as "nobody puts Baby in a corner" -- drew 15pc of all the votes.
School Of Rock, in which Jack Black teaches a class of pupils how to rock, was runner-up in the list.
Helen Cowley, editor at Lovefilm, said: "There's no beating a good classic to lift your spirits when you are feeling under the weather.
"Dirty Dancing has all the key ingredients to pick you up, a first love, summer romance, great dancing, Patrick Swayze and one of the best soundtracks in film."
To mark the poll -- commissioned to find the most heart-warming movies as cold, dark evenings draw in -- Lovefilm is offering a number of the leading titles for free viewing online at www.lovefilm.com/lemsip.
