We've just got used to having A-listers Eric Bana and Rooney Mara filming on our shores, and now even more Hollywood stars are to begin shooting here.

Kate Beckinsale, Chloe Sevigny and Stephen Fry are to begin filming Love & Friendship, an adaptation of Jane Austen's novel Lady Susan here later this month.

Kate (41) is to reunite with her The Last Days of Disco co-star Chloe (40) and director Whit Stillman for the film.

Set in the 1790s, Love & Friendship follows Lady Susan Vernon a beautiful widow played by Beckinsale, who visits her in-laws under a cloud of controversy and decides to find a new husband while there.

Actress-turned-fashion icon Sevigny will play Lady Susan's friend Alicia, with Fry playing the part of Alicia's husband, Mr Johnson.

Beckinsale is known for her roles in vampire action series Underworld as well as the romantic second world war war film Pearl Harbor.

Sevigny was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at both the Oscars and the Golden Globes in 2000 for her role in Boys Don't Cry opposite Oscar winner Hilary Swank.

The cast also includes The Twilight Saga's Xavier Samuel, who plays Beckinsale's love interest in the movie.

The project has received funding from the Irish Film Board. It is thought that the ' Tom Cruise Clause', which was inspired by talks with Steven Spielberg, has helped bring many of the large-scale productions to Ireland as it allows film producers bringing Hollywood actors here to get tax relief.

Meanwhile, Jim Sheridan has been filming the silver screen adaptation of Sebastian Barry's book The Secret Scripture at various locations across the country over the past few weeks.

The film features an all-star cast including Mara, Bana, Jack Reynor, Oscar-winner Vanessa Redgrave, Jeremy Irons and British actor Theo James, who is best known for The Inbetweeners Movie.
