Hollywood dreams for Amy as her new film hits the screen

Actress Amy Huberman hasn't ruled out Hollywood movie roles as her film career takes off.

The stunning wife of Irish rugby captain Brian O'Driscoll stepped out for the premiere of her new film Rewind last night and admitted the challenging role has made her hungry to take on more testing parts.

Ambitious Amy (31) was awarded an IFTA last month for her moving performance in the film and the former Clinic star hasn't ruled out making a stab at Hollywood.

"Well, you know, all these things are like stepping stones," she told the Diary when asked about trying her luck in Tinseltown.

"I never go 'Well that's it. I'm done now'. I think if you feel your career is going the right way and you're getting offered the right part, you're progressing and that's all you can really hope for," she added.

Dressed to impress in a stunning ballerina style dress, Amy stole the show as she walked the red carpet.

The petite blonde explained how last night was the first time for Brian to see the film and admits she was nervous about his reaction.

"Brian hadn't seen it so I was interested in his opinion on it," Amy said. "I had seen it once before at an IFTA screening but it's always different when you sit down with your friends and family.

"It was a bit nerve-wracking for me because it's different from the usual, it's really exciting. It's kind of good to put yourself out there.

"It's a big week, it's been a really exciting couple of days for us. It was a little bit of a crazy weekend. I am suffering from the cold from hell now but that's what you get for staying out until 6am. Anyway it has to be done every so often," she laughed.

Amy admits she hasn't even thought about an outfit for Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding next month, given that she and Brian won't know if they are going until after the Leicester versus Leinster Heineken Cup quarter final on April 10.

"I haven't really allowed myself to even think that far ahead because I don't know if we're going," she said.

"We won't know until later so it will be a bit of a last minute job."

Amy will also have to miss out on this year's Peter Mark VIP Style Awards for the second year in a row, given that she is due to appear on the Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy to promote her new film.

The actress has been nominated in the category of Most Stylish Female, as well as Most Stylish Couple alongside her other half.
