Game of Thrones star Jack Gleeson has revealed he rejected Hollywood roles to work on his theatre company with his mates.
Jack (23), who played King Joffrey in the popular fantasy series, set up the Collapsing Horse Theatre Company with his Trinity classmates, including former Love/Hate star Aaron Heffernan.
Their new play, Bears in Space, is set to take to the stage at London's Soho Theatre and tells the story of "two bears in an intergalactic space ship who have just thawed from cryogenic stasis".
"The offers came in, but I just had a lack of desire to do a big action movie," Gleeson told reporters.
"What I enjoy most is this kind of thing, where I can have fun with some of my friends.
"My real interest is in creating something from the ground up. I never say 'never' to anything, but for the time being I get far more fulfilment from being part of a project that I have helped create and have more of a stake in.
"A lot of the feedback we had was that people got a lot of entertainment from seeing four friends really enjoying performing together."
