Clint made my day with movie role

Up-and-coming actor Declan Conlon will see his name in lights this year after landing a part in Clint Eastwood's new blockbuster movie, Here After.

The Dublin star has just finished shooting on the big-budget production, which will see him join a stellar cast including Matt Damon, Marthe Keller and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Conlon spent almost two months on set in London alongside esteemed actor and director Eastwood, during which the two bonded over their love of all things controversial.

"It's quite an inspirational, controversial storyline," he told the Herald. "Basically I play a social worker in London, who has to go and take these two twins off their mother, because she's a junkie and can't look after them any more.

"To spend almost two months in a small council flat in London working with someone like Clint Eastwood is every actor's dream.

"It was extraordinary to meet someone who was as iconic as he is. I've always been a huge fan of his movies and I think his directing work is superb."
