Bono's girl Eve 'Knicks' role in Hollywood series

BONO'S daughter Eve Hewson is certainly making her mark in Hollywood.

The rising actress looks striking in period costume on the set of period drama The Knick.

The Dubliner plays Lucy in the Cinemax mini-series, a young, naive nurse who comes to the Big Apple in search of adventure.

The show focuses on"'the ground-breaking surgeons, nurses and staff, who push the bounds of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics."

GRUNGE

Eve (22) first caught the attention of movie chiefs in a grunge role in This Must Be The Place in 2011.

The series is based in and around New York's Knickerbocker Hospital in 1900, as the staff strive to break new ground in medicine.

Eve has also spoken about her father Bono and mother Ali's initial concerns about her going into the movie business.

"It's because they know that world, and it's really hard," she said.

"For a young female, especially, it's excruciating. The rejection is awful, the competition is terrifying, and you're constantly up and down."
