Angelina Jolie has proven that even Hollywood megastars are human by revealing she has chickenpox.
The 39-year-old actor and director said she was pulling out of events to promote her latest film, Unbroken, because of her illness.
In a 39-second video clip, an ill-looking Jolie, with what appeared to be a rash across her chest, said she wanted to be "clear and honest" about why she was missing promotional events in the next few days.
"I found out last night that I have chickenpox so I will be home, itching and missing everyone, and I can't believe it because this film means so much to me," she said.
"I just can't believe it but such is life, there it is and send everyone my love and hope everything goes well."
The short clip (inset) has already been viewed more than four million times on YouTube.
Unbroken stars young rising star Jack O'Connell as the late Louis Zamperini, a Second World War hero and athlete who ran in the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
Jolie, who has six children with husband Brad Pitt, attended the film's UK premiere in London last month.
