A girl needs her friends after a stint in the Australian jungle and model Debbie O’Leary was on hand for Nadia Forde’s I’m a Celeb exit.
The Cork model jetted to Oz to support Dubliner Nadia as she competed in the show and was there to greet her when she was voted off.
“So glad to have her back,” Debbie said alongside a picture of both girls.
During her stay her fiance – former Ireland and Munster player Peter Stringer – had flowers delivered to her hotel room.
But Debbie took time out of planning the big day to support 25-year-old Nadia, who spent 16 days in the wild before being eliminated.
The pals met when Nadia dated Leinster and Ireland rugby player Luke Fitzgerald and have remained firm friends ever since.
During her time in the jungle Nadia was the only contestant not to undertake a bushtucker trial, though she was forced to share a darkened tomb with rats and other critters.
The model-turned-singer was the second celeb to be voted off the show, following footballer Jimmy Bullard. She will return to the Cinderella panto at the Tivoli next week.
In her post-exit interview she ruled out a romance with X-Factor contestant Jake Quickenden, who spent his time in the jungle flirting with her.
“He is such a sweetheart, but he is more like a brother to me,” she said. “We are just friends. I love Jake to bits and we’re going to remain friends.
“Even though he came in late he was a great addition to the camp but no, there is no romance.”
Previously the Clontarf model was linked with golfer Rory McIlroy.
She told Ant and Dec on her exit that her stint in the jungle had made her appreciate her home comforts even more.
The London-based model is due to fly back to Dublin soon but first is likely to take in some rays with her friend and enjoy Australia.
Debbie has shared pictures of her luxurious hotel since her arrival down under, including a canopied poolside bed complete with cocktail service. It could be just what the doctor ordered for Nadia after a fortnight sleeping in a hammock.
