FFF STETSON wearing singer Garth Brooks may not have performed in the capital this summer, but music fans can enjoy a full weekend of country when the Cowboys and Heroes, America and Country Music Festival kicks off in Drumcoura, Ballinamore, Co Limerick. Well-known performers including Mike Denver, Jimmy Buckley, Brian Coll and Garth Brooks tribute band Friends in Low Places will help complete the line-up. The weekend-long event runs from September 5 to 7.

FFF FOLLOWING its successful stint at The Olympia Theatre as well as sell-out performances as part of the Galway International Arts Festival, Cork man Cillian Murphy returned to his native county last night with his play Ballyturk. The Enda Walsh production is running at the Cork Opera House until Saturday. After bringing his latest stage project to home fans, actor Cillian and his co-star Stephen Rea will head to London, where they'll take over the National Theatre for four weeks.
