SHE'S known for her feisty Fair City role - now actress Aoibheann McCaul is looking to add another string to her bow.
The Carrigstown star is currently enjoying some time away from the RTE studio and told the Herald that she's writing a play for next year's Dublin Fringe Festival.
"I've been working on an idea for next year already, it's my own one-woman show, it's still in the early stage at the moment," she said.
"I'm trying not to talk about it because I'm not sure where it can fit - it's not quirky like typical Fringe pieces."
Aoibheann plays Caoimhe Dillon in the long-running soap but isn't on set just now.
"I'm not really out there at the moment. It's all about shooting the anniversary of Fair City and I'm not in that, so I'm having a bit of a break," the 27-year-old said.
"I'm actually thinking of going to Africa, so we're organising all that."
