LIFE is a bundle of sunshine this week for weather girl Nuala Carey.
We all have an extra pep in our step thanks to the sunshine, but none more so than the glamorous presenter.
The good weather is doubly beneficial for the RTE star – bringing sunshine and keeping punters happy with her work.
"People thank us when we have good weather, which is really kind," she told the Herald.
"And they don't blame us for bad weather, which is lovely."
With temperatures soaring to the mid-20s this week, the good weather is set to continue over the weekend and into next week, but after that it is anyone's guess, says Nuala.
"As far as I know, indications at the moment are that Monday and Tuesday will be good as well," she said.
Nuala is in demand these days as she branches out from delivering the weather forecast.
She is a regular guest on several TV and radio shows and is looking forward to the return of the Today show on RTE in September on which she is a contributor.
The 35-year-old recently revealed that she worked as an extra on a Mel Gibson movie in Co Wicklow in the 1990s and filmed some scenes with the Hollywood hunk.
But taking time off for the good weather is not possible with her job and she has no summer break planned. It will be more work for Nuala this weekend when she takes her seat as one of the judges for the Dublin heats of the Rose of Tralee.
"Our roster is the same no matter what kind of weather we have – the only advantage is if I know the weather is good, I like to walk so I can decide whether to do my walk early or later."
Nuala had extra reason to celebrate this week after completing the Flora Women's Mini Marathon in a time that she was more than pleased with.
"I did it for cystic fibrosis and I ran it in one hour 16 minutes, which was good because I was never a runner."
