Dubliners' Diary

Socialites and reality TV stars crowded into trendy club Baroque at the weekend. Fake tan-lover and Holly Carpenter's ex Jeremy McConnell Clarke hit the dance floor with a handful of pals.

The Assets model has been attracting plenty of attention since he appeared on MTV show Beauty School Cop Out, and he is hoping 2014 will bring more TV gigs.

Blogger Suzanna Jackson and her sister Karla enjoyed a few drinks. The model and make-up artist has been enjoying the success of her 'bible' SoSueMe: Secrets to Blogging, Fashion and Beauty.

www After weeks of slobbing out on the sofa and stuffing your face, it's time to dust off your dancing shoes and get moving. And thankfully CoisCeim Dance Theatre is making things a bit easier with festival Dublin Dances into Spring, celebrating the art form alongside a host of home-grown performances from the Liz Roche Company and Irish Modern Dance Theatre from January 25 to March 22.

So get those toes tapping.

www Mark it down on the calendar, girls! Covet, aka The Borrower's Boudoir, is having its annual blow-out sale this weekend on the top floor of Powerscourt Townhouse. The plush store is a hot favourite with celebrities and social butterflies and is crammed full of fashion gems. With up to 95pc off, this is well worth checking out. The sale starts on Saturday at 10am, so sharpen those elbows and get there early.

www Super posh toff and star of Fresh Meat, Jack Whitehall, will bring his bumbling and energetic style of comedy to Vicar Street tonight.

Last year, he beat off stiff competition from Alan Carr, David Mitchell, Graham Norton, Lee Mack and Sarah Millican to nab the Best TV Comedy Actor prize at the British Comedy Awards – so he must be good.

Jack will do a larger arena tour around the UK later this year, but this is the perfect chance to see him up close and personal. The show is guaranteed to have you snorting with laughter, a perfect pick-me-up on a chilly Tuesday evening.
