BRIDE-to-be Kiera Dignam is counting down the days to her wedding.
But the daughter of Aslan lead singer Christy Dignam hopes she doesn't forget anything crucial for the big day.
"It's four weeks now," the 26-year-old singer told the Herald.
"I've been planning for over a year and have spent the last couple of days trying to make sure I'm not forgetting anything.
"But I know the day before, I'll realise I've forgotten something major like the cake or the veil."
Kiera will marry her long term partner Darren Moran later this month and says her dad, Christy who is battling cancer, will be walking her down the aisle.
"My dad will definitely be walking me down the aisle," she said. "We were worried at first that he wouldn't be able to but he's determined."
The 52-year-old singer is currently in hospital for treatment.
And Christy will be ditching the wheelchair.
"He thought he was going to use a wheelchair but he'll have to walk; my dress would get caught in the wheelchair.
"It would get wrapped in the spokes – you don't want that when you're walking down the aisle," laughed Kiera.
"It's going to be a great day. My two kids Cian (9) and Ava (4) will be there too. So I can't wait."
Kiera and Darren's ceremony will be in held in the Parish of Mary Help of Christians on the Navan Road, Cabra, with the reception in Knightsbrook hotel in Trim at the end of the month.
After the wedding the couple will jet off to the Maldives.
The young singer and former Voice Of Ireland contestant says once the wedding is done and dusted she will focus on her album and song writing.
