Celebs share in the Good Times as Chic hit town

IT was a Disco Inferno for Irish celebs this weekend.

The crowd at Forbidden Fruit went wild when legendary 1970s band Chic and Nile Rodgers took to the main stage.

Hordes of Saturday Night Fever fans channelled the spirit of the Seventies and got their groove on.

The Edge and Shane MacGowan were among the crowd and seemed to appreciate the funky disco beats.

Model Cara Spillane (inset) – daughter of Kerry GAA legend and RTE pundit Pat – was enthralled.

"My soul might be floating over Kilmainham right now," she wrote after the gig. "Chic was the best gig I have ever had the privilege of attending."

Broadcaster Sile Seoige was also spotted singing Le Freak and Good Times. "Good times at Forbidden Fruit. Great day and night. Sleep time."

Sile may have hit the hay, but Dublin was packed with party people making the most of the bank holiday weekend.

The drinks were flowing in Buck's Townhouse as they celebrated their fourth birthday. And it was quite the celebration with Hayley Ryan and Michele McGrath welcoming the Irish soccer team into the club after their 4-0 win over Georgia.

"The boys were in great spirits," one onlooker said. "There was a great buzz – the Irish team know how to have a good time."
