When you think of world record attempts, cramming hundreds of James Joyce imposters into one town doesn't come to mind. But that is exactly what the good people of Dun Laoghaire are attempting to do on Sunday, when they hope to break the world record for having the largest gathering of James Joyces ever to have taken place in the one location.
It will be one of the highlights of the Bloomsday Family Festival this weekend.
This year, the entire Lower George's St will close to make way for an alfresco Bloomsday breakfast. A Vintage Street market, vintage amusements and 10ft-tall, vintage-clad puppets reciting from Ulysses will provide entertainment. Visit www.dunlaoghaire.ie.
