Brian Ormond and Pippa O'Connor are said to be recovering following a break-in at their home.

RTE presenter Ormond and his model wife were burgled over the Christmas break.

The couple, who have a nine-month-old son, only moved into their Co Kildare home last year.

Friends said the couple were left badly shaken after returning home to find their house had been targeted last Monday.

They had been due to go and see Brian's 12-year-old daughter Chloe in a pantomime on the day of the burglary, but had to cancel.

The intruders reportedly ransacked the house while the couple were out after breaking in through the back door.

Ormond declined to comment when contacted by the Herald.

The couple, who married in 2011, are the second high-profile victims of a burglary over the festive period.

HOLIDAY

The Dublin home of Boyzone star Keith Duffy was targeted on December 20 while he was on tour in Britain with the band.

Last year TV3 presenter Alan Hughes had his home broken into while he was on holiday in Spain.

Fellow presenter Lisa Cannon was also targeted when thieves broke into her Foxrock home and stole the keys to her fiance Richard's car.
