Movie hit Frozen has overtaken Bond film Skyfall to become the second-biggest-selling DVD of the decade.

It is one of only three releases to shift more than three million copies in the UK since 2010, with only Avatar standing in its way as the biggest seller.

Frozen fans also learned yesterday that a short spin-off film, Frozen Fever, will hit cinemas on March 27 as the opener for new Disney live action film Cinderella.

DVD and Blu-ray sales of Frozen last week totalled 160,000 copies, pushing it through the three million barrier.

Frozen has amassed enormous sales since its release in the spring, and it is the biggest animated movie of all time.

Top 10 DVD/Blu-ray sales since 2010: 1. Avatar 2. Frozen 3. Skyfall 4. Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows (Part 1) 5. Despicable Me 6. The Inbetweeners Movie 7. Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows (Part 2) 8. Toy Story 3 9. Inception 10. The King's Speech.
