Beauty Madeline joins Republic of Telly crew for series wrap party

THE Republic of Telly crew wrapped up its current series with a late-night bash at the Grafton Lounge, the Diary can reveal.

Cast members including Dermot Whelan, Jennifer Maguire and Bernard O'Shea were spotted letting their hair down in style on Sunday night as they toasted another successful series.

Other attendees at the wrap party included Limerick beauty Madeline Mulqueen, who first found fame on the show thanks to her appearance on the Rubberbandits hit, Horse Outside.

Also there was Damo and Ivor creator Andy Quirke, who gave a debut performance of his latest release, Maniac, on the programme a week ago. Starring his gorgeous ex-girlfriend Louise Kavanagh, the cover of the Mark McCabe classic is already storming up the iTunes chart as his fans clamour to download the hilarious ditty.

The gang then carried on the party by heading to Lillie's Bordello for a few more drinks as they marked the end of the latest show in style.

And although next season's schedule has yet to be confirmed by RTE, inside sources say they have provisionally given the green light for another instalment of the Republic of Telly.

"The viewing figures were massive and it performed really well for the show in its Monday night's slot. The repeat programme on Sunday also had strong viewing figures, so it looks likely that it will be back again later in the year," she said.
