Jonathan Rhys Meyers (39) is set to become a first-time father after his other half Mara Lane confirmed her pregnancy.
The actress posted a string of pictures showing off her third-trimester baby bump, along with a gushing tribute to the Tudors actor.
Posing in profile beside a jolly-looking Santa Claus, a glowing Mara posted a picture to her Instagram account, describing her protruding tummy as "Santa belly" and saying it was the "best present ever".
"Thank you for the opportunity to be a mummy, sweetheart!" she added as she posted a picture with the acclaimed actor.
Mara also revealed that she has not been able to eat meat for the duration of her pregnancy, and credited her unborn baby with her helping her feel "connected and aware".
When it came to maternity wear, she also opted to buy Irish and said that her favourite item of clothing was a dress she bought here in a charity shop for only €3.
Jonathan and Mara, who is also a producer, have been dating since 2013 and were rumoured to have got engaged in 2014 after she was pictured in LA wearing a sparkler, though neither of them confirmed it officially.
They may even have taken their relationship to the next level and got married.
Mara, who has a dog named Toca, recently changed the name of her Instagram account to Mara and Toca Lane Rhys Meyers.
