X Factor stars back in town

THOUSANDS of music-mad X Factor fans gathered in the O2 Arena last night to welcome back Jedward and their TV co-stars to Irish soil.

The first leg of the tour, which took place two weeks ago, sold so well over here that organisers were prompted to bring it back for another two dates, with all the contestants performing for a second date tonight.

Blasting out all their best-known hits from the TV show, they spent two hours entertaining ticket holders.

Earlier in the evening, throngs of Irish fans had gathered outside the Morgan Hotel after learning that the stars were staying there.

Despite the driving rain and chilly temperatures, they queued patiently all day to get a glimpse of their idols. Among those who were snapped going into the hotel were Lloyd Daniels and Lucie Jones, alongside Jamie Archer, Danyl Johnson, Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon. However, extra security had to be drafted in for John and Edward Grimes as they were mobbed by admirers as they left the hotel for the O2.

Sporting their trademark quiffs and black bomber jackets, they were escorted by burly Irish bodyguard Graham Quinn -- who is engaged to TV babe Myleene Klass.

Earlier they were snapped going into a Dublin hairdressers to get their quiffs reshaped -- and were mobbed by fans on Molesworth Street as soon as they left.
