Wonderland split broke my heart but I love being mum to Koa -- Jodi

IT must be nice being Jodi Albert, judging by the luxury Mother's Day present she got.

Forget petrol station flowers and a box of chocolates, the wife of Westlife star Kian Egan was over the moon with her surprise treat.

After being presented with a Chanel 2.11 handbag, she said: "Wow, I'm a very lucky mummy. Thank you Koa."

The ex-Hollyoaks beauty and former Wonderland star had her first baby just before Christmas in Sligo General Hospital and has been living a life of domestic bliss ever since.

She recently revealed how she's happy to forgo her singing career now to remain a stay-at-home mum.

Jodi explained how she's in no rush to get back into the recording studio and is content just minding her three-month-old baby at her Sligo home.

"I'm 28 now and I just want to enjoy being with my little boy. Each week he is changing and growing and I really don't want to miss a minute of it," she explained.

Jodi compared the shock loss of Wonderland's record deal to breaking up with a boyfriend.

"I have to be completely honest, Wonderland ending absolutely broke my heart, it was the worst thing, and I'm still not over it at all, I'm still quite sad about it."

And Jodi insists that singing to her little boy is enough for her now.

"But I do sing to Koa to get him to sleep. This is going to sound so cheesy but me and Corrina (Durran) sang to him the other day," she said.
