Wanted say sorry after Aguilera 'bitch' jibes

POPSTARS The Wanted have apologised to Christina Aguilera for calling her a "total bitch".

The US chart-topping band claimed the pop star was "scary" and refused to talk to them backstage at US talent show The Voice.

The band, which includes Dubliner Siva Kaneswaren, were appearing as special guests on the show, where Aguilera (left) is a judge, and claimed the star completely ignored them.

Singer Tom Parker blasted: "She's a total bitch. She might not be a bitch in real life but to us she was a bitch. She just sat there and didn't speak to us."

But he admitted last night: "We shouldn't have said it, and we said sorry if she was offended."

The boy band claimed Aguilera even shunned Justin Bieber when he tried to give her a hug.

Band member Nathan Sykes said: "He went in for a hug and she was like, 'Get away from me'."

The Wanted also met American singer Chris Brown on the show and said they hoped to go into the studio with him.

Siva added: "We've talked about getting together with Chris which would be really good."
