Twink's tell-all book to remain zipped for a bit longer

TWINK'S tell-all autobiography has been delayed and won't be hitting shelves until next year.

The panto queen's widely anticipated memoir has been postponed and a number of high profile interviews, appearances and photo opportunities have been ditched.

The 59-year-old's book, which is entitled Unzipped, was due to go on sale in three weeks for the Christmas rush, but publication has been unexpectedly delayed until March or April 2012.

Maria Dickenson, head of book purchasing at Eason, said last night that it was "very disappointing".

After announcing that she was putting pen to paper, Twink admitted that "there will be a few fellas buying airline tickets after they read this" in her "say it as it is" story.

Twink, whose real name is Adele King, is set to lift the lid on her marriage break-up to oboe player David Agnew and will open up on other relationships.

The star saw her marriage disintegrate in 2004 after 21 years. The couple have two daughters -- Chloe and Naomi.

Two years later, Agnew fathered a child with then-partner, clarinettist Ruth Hickey -- which was shortly followed by Twink's infamous Zip Up Your Mickey voicemail, which created a media storm.
